Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro to come with Snapdragon 888 processor – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Chipset manufacturer Qualcomm has launched its latest flagship 5G processor — Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 at the company’s annual Tech Summit. Now, smartphone maker Xiaomi has confirmed that its next generation flaghsip smartphones — Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro — will be powered by the same Snapdragon 888 processor.
Xiaomi’s co-founder and CEO Lei Jun revealed that Xiaomi Mi 11 will be amongst the first few phones which will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. In the keynote, during the Snapdragon Tech Summit Jun said, “I’m very happy to tell you that the next-generation Xiaomi premium 5G smartphone powered by Snapdragon 888 will be launched very soon. This is a cutting-edge product full of numerous top-notch features.”
It is also expected that Xiaomi might launch the Mi 11 series in January next year. The Xiaomi Mi 11 is said to sport a triple rear camera setup. The smartphone is expected to come with a 108MP main sensor with 30X zoom. Rumours also suggest that it will be the first smartphone to come with a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens. Along with the ultra-wide angle lens, the device is said to offer a macro lens as well. The Xiaomi Mi 11 is expected to come with a punch-hole display with curved edges. The handset is also said to come with a quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
On the other hand, the company is also expected to launch the Mi 11 Pro along with the Mi 11. The smartphone may also come with a punch-hole camera which is said to be placed on the top left corner of the display. The handset is said to come with a QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to sport a quad-rear camera setup. The rumours also suggest that the smartphone will be able to capture images at 50MP with the help of pixel binning technology.
