Tamil Nadu CM Stalin To Visit Singapore, Japan To Meet Investors

Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin is all set to fly to Singapore and Japan on Tuesday to meet with investors ahead of the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet, which is scheduled for January 2024. The CM is expected to return by the end of this month.

This will be Stalin’s second visit abroad to fetch investments for the state. He will be accompanied by his cabinet’s newly-inducted Industries Minister TRB Rajaa.

According to information, Chief Minister Stalin is visiting the two countries to meet the investors and invite them to invest in the southern state. This will be an official visit to try to sign MoUs for the state.

As per the CM’s plan, he is expected to reach Singapore first, where he is likely to spend two days and then spend over a week in Japan. In Singapore, Stalin is likely to meet entrepreneurs and focus on skill development and technology with an aim to sign more MoUs during the visit.

The chief minister is anticipated to travel to Tokyo and Osaka in Japan to meet with the CEOs of several corporations. The government of Tamil Nadu intends to attract investment from the technology, electric car, and renewable energy industries.

It may be recalled that Stalin was in Dubai last year to meet industrialists, industry leaders, and people in the political and industry ecosystem. Last March, a delegation led by the chief minister signed six MoUs to the tune of Rs 6,100 crores. Some of these included an agreement with LuLu Group, Noble Steel and Aster DM Healthcare.
