NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung recently launched its latest foldable smartphone — Galaxy Z Fold 2. Just months after the launch of the device, the internet is flooded with the leaks and rumours of its successor the Galaxy Fold 3. The smartphone is expected to launch in the second half of 2021, but the latest rumour about the smartphone talks about its pricing.
Samsung will surely improve the design and hardware specifications of the foldable smartphone, but the company is expected to bring the handset at the similar price tag just like its predecessor. According to a recent tweet by noted leakster MauriQHD, Samsung might price the Galaxy Z Fold 3 the same as the GalaxyZ Fold 2. The company launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 at $2,000 in most of the markets, so if the leak is to be believed the Galaxy Z Fold 3 might also sport a similar price tag.
This means that customers will be able to experience the new hardware features at a similar price.
Recently, another online report revealed that Samsung might offer S Pen support to Galaxy Fold Z Fold 3. This foldable phone from Samsung is said to come with support for an S-Pen as well, which will be a first for a foldable phone from the South Korean tech giant. The report suggests that this feature wasn’t being offered by the company so far as it was facing difficulties in developing a screen protective layer that prevents scratches from when the S Pen and the screen come in contact but that has been overcome now as the company has apparently replaced transparent polyimide (CPI) film to ultra-thin glass (UTG).
It is also said that with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 the company might ditch the notch screen design. It is also said that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 might include an in-display camera.
