Harsimrat Kaur Badal was reportedly rushed to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research in Chandigarh after she complained of breathing difficulty.

Attacking the central government over the ongoing agitation, Harsimrat Kaur Badal had accused the Centre of exploiting the plight of farmers. On Friday, she slammed Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh for raising concerns over the farmers’ protest posing a “threat to national security”.

Former Punjab chief minister and father-in-law of Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Parkash Singh Badal returned his Padma Vibhushan earlier this week in protest against the Centre’s farm laws.

The Minister for Food Processing Industries, Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from the Union Cabinet in September of this year after her party, the SAD withdrew its support from the BJP-led NDA over the new farm laws.
