According to news agency IANS, Gwalior District Magistrate Kaushlendra Vikram Singh has said the Gwalior authorities have launched the ‘Roko-Toko’ campaign to stop the spread of coronavirus.

With the Covid-19 awareness drive, local authorities are highlighting the Covid protocols while also penalising those found flouting these norms. Those not wearing masks will be put in open jails, said the Gwalior administration.

According to IANS, at least 20 people were sent to the open prison at the Captain Roop Singh stadium and were made to write an essay on Covid-19 on Saturday.

Madhya Pradesh on Sunday reported 1,455 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the count of infections to 2,14,505 while 3,337 people have died so far of Covid-19.
