Mumbai sees lowest coronavirus test positivity rate since March


The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner, Iqbal Singh Chahal, has said that “for the first time since March 2020, the coronavirus test positivity rate in Mumbai has fallen down to the lowest ever and now stands at 5 per cent”.

Talking to India Today TV, the BMC commissioner said the news is very encouraging and that the same had been possible with the combined efforts of the government, the BMC team and all the hospitals and doctors. Sharing the positivity rate in the Mumbai City for the past 10 days, the BMC chief said that the data here, too, looks very promising. “But we should not be complacent and lower our guards,” he added.
