MoSPW Scored Impressive In Data Governance Quality Index: Report

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has scored 4.7 out of 5 and excelled in data governance, says the Data Governance Quality Index (DGQI) released by Niti Aayog. The report checked on the department who utilising the data technology and generating the data efficiently in order to boost up the pace and quality of schemes.

The DGQI assess the departments in the areas of data quality, data security, data technology, data analysis and HR capacity building. 

As per the report, The National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways, and Coasts at IIT Madras has assisted the ministry to improve the management information system. NTCPW functions as the assistant organisation for MoPSW in facilitating the technology. 

The report focuses on the further need to bring the reforms in data exchange system and its utilisation within the ministry.

The world is driven by data today, it is that piece of information that helps the organisations and individuals to step ahead accordingly. Data works as the source to expand in the future. 

Union Minister MoPSW and AYUSH Shri Sarbananda Sonowal expressed his appreciation for DMEO, Niti Aayog, and their report card of the Ministries.He believes that it will significantly aid in improving the implementation framework of government policies, schemes, and programs to meet the desired goals.
