Kannada cinematographer Arun Kumar dies at 51 in Bengaluru


Cinematographer Arun Kumar breathed his last at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was recently diagnosed with brain tumour.

Popular Kannada cinematographer Arun Kumar breathed his last on Monday (November 30) night at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was 51 years old. It is reported that the cinematographer was diagnosed with brain tumour and was under treatment for the same. His health condition worsened last week and later he succumbed to the illness.

Arun Kumar is survived by his wife Saraswathi and three children. He had been part of more than 30 films and had worked in four languages including Kannada, Gujarati, Hindi and Marathi.

Many of his fans and collegues in the industry have expressed condolences on social media. His mortal remains was kept at his residence in Bengaluru.

According to reports, Arun Kumar started experiencing severe headaches while shooting for a film titled Seethamma Bandalu Sirimallige Thottu. However, he got admitted to Manipal Hospital in Udupi only after months which eventually made his condition worse.

Arun Kumar was working on a film titled Chaya. He had also signed two Kannada films for a popular production house.
