Intel India Head Nivruti Rai Resigns


Rai, who joined Intel as a design engineer in February 1994, rose through the ranks to become the head of Intel India and play a crucial role in the development of Intel Foundry Services.

Intel India Head and Vice President of Intel Foundry Services, Nivruti Rai, has announced her departure from the company after a remarkable 29-year in the company, according to an official statement released by Intel.

Rai, who joined Intel as a design engineer in February 1994, rose through the ranks to become the head of Intel India and play a crucial role in the development of Intel Foundry Services.

Intel expressed its gratitude to Rai for her leadership, acknowledging the significant progress achieved by Intel India under her guidance. Rai’s departure marks the end of an era, as she leaves behind a legacy of exceptional work and dedication. Her contributions to empowering women were also recognised when she received the prestigious Nari Shakti Puraskar in 2022.

During her extensive career with Intel, Rai initially worked in the United States from 1994 to 2005. She then relocated to Bengaluru in September 2005, assuming the role of Senior Director of Chipset Engineering and Intellectual Property Development. Throughout her tenure, Rai played a pivotal role in establishing Intel India as the company’s largest engineering site outside the United States and a vital talent base.

In a statement, Intel said, “Intel India country head and VP of Intel Foundry Services, Nivruti Rai, is departing Intel after 29 years with the company. We’re grateful to Nivruti for the tremendous progress Intel India has made under her leadership. Today, Intel India is our largest engineering site outside the US and a critical talent base for the company. We will have more to share soon about Intel India leadership plans and we wish Nivruti all the best in her next chapter.”
