A Hindu woman in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district, who converted to marry Ibrahim Khaleel Kattekar three years ago, has complained to the police that her brother-in-law is harassing and stalking her on social media.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad members in Dakshina Kannada are reported to have met the woman at her residence and told her that they would stand by her during the police investigation.
According to reports, the family has demanded dowry from the complainant and kept the husband away from her. However, the police have denied this.
The Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police (SP) said, “The complaint is only against the brother-in-law for alleged harassment. We have registered a case.”
