Former Chief Minister of Haryana and Indian National Lok Dal chief Om Prakash Chautala has tested positive for coronavirus. He has been admitted to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital.
Reports have emerged that 85-year-old OP Chautala’s grandson Karan Chautala had attended a wedding ceremony two days ago.
OP Chautala and his son Ajay Chautala were convicted in January 2013 by a Delhi court in connection with the illegal recruitment of over 3000 teachers. Both were found guilty of taking bribes in exchange for selecting teachers.
Earlier, his grandson and Haryana’s Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala had tested positive for coronavirus in October. Chautala had deflected from INLD and created his own party called Jannayak Janta Party which is a BJP ally in Haryana.
