Denied permission to protest, brother of Jharkhand’s first CM threatens to tie SDM to tractor

Accusing her of acting like ‘Hitler’, former Jharkhand CM Babulal Marandi’s brother Nunulal said that officers such as Giridih SDM Prerna Dikshit will be dismissed if the BJP is voted to power in the state.

A statement by the brother of BJP leader and Jharkhand’s first chief minister Babulal Marandi has stirred up a storm in the state’s political circles. Apart from being a former MP and MoS in the Union government, Babulal Marandi is currently the Leader of Opposition in the Jharkhand Assembly.

Babulal Marandi’s brother Nunulal Marandi reportedly said that if the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Giridih district tries to stop a scheduled agitation, he will be tied to a tractor and dragged. The BJP has planned an agitation on December 8 in Jharkhand’s Giridih district to demand floating of tenders for sand mining.

Going further, Nunulal Marandi also said that such officers will be dismissed if the BJP is voted to power in Jharkhand in the next Assembly elections. The brother of former Jharkhand CM Babulal Marandi, Nunulal also accused Giridih SDM Prerna Dikshit of acting like “Hitler” and said that she will be taught a lesson.

District president of the BJP in Giridih, Mahadev Dubey said that the statements made by Nunulal Marandi are his own views and the party has nothing to do with it.
