The first-look poster of Pa Ranjith’s much-anticipated film, Sarpatta Parambarai, is out and fans can’t control their excitement. Post the success of Rajinikanth’s Kaala, Pa Ranjith announced that he will be teaming up with Arya for a boxing film, titled Sarpetta Parambarai. The film was supposed to release in summer this year. However, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus caused delay in production.

SARPATTA PARAMBARAI FIRST-LOOK IS OUT

Today (December 2), Pa Ranjith took to Twitter to unveil the first-look poster of the film. He shared a stunning picture of Arya sporting a beefed-up look and preparing himself for the final round inside the boxing ring.

Pa Ranjith shared the first-look poster and wrote, “@K9Studioz proudly presents the First Look of @arya_offl ‘s #SarpattaParambarai Boxing glove..A @beemji film (sic).”

The poster is already a hit on the internet.

Dushara Vijayan, who made her debut in Tamil with Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari, has been roped in to play the female lead. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew is yet to be made. Santhosh Prathap of Parthiban’s Kathai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam fame will be seen playing a negative role in the film.

IS THE FILM INSPIRED BY MUKKABAAZ?

There are speculations that Sarpatta Parambarai will be on the lines of Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz. The film, which released 2017, was also based on boxing.

Ranjith was supposed to do a biopic on the life of a freedom fighter, Birsa Munda, post the release of Kaala. However, things didn’t materialise due to production issues.

ARYA’S UPCOMING PROJECTS

On the other hand, Arya is waiting for the release of Teddy, which features his wife Sayyeshaa as the female lead. He is also working on Aranmanai 3, directed by Sundar C.
