Apple is offering free repair program for this popular iPhone’s display, check if you are eligible – Times of India

If you use an iPhone 11 — world’s most popular smartphone — and are facing any issue with its display then this news is important for you. Apple has officially announced a repair program for the iPhone 11. On its official support page, the Cupertino-based tech giant said, “Apple has determined that a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays may stop responding to touch due to an issue with the display module.”
Apple has clarified that the affected iPhone 11 models were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020. If your iPhone 11 has been exhibiting this issue, then simply go to Apple Support website. Once you’re on the website, navigate to the iPhone 11 display repair page. Here you will have to key in the serial number of the iPhone 11 to check whether your device comes in the affected category or not.
Apple will replace the affected iPhone 11 for free. If you believe your iPhone 11 was affected by this issue, and you paid to repair your device, then Apple will refund the repair cost as well.
Do note that only the iPhone 11 — and not 11 Pro and Pro Max — fall under this program. Apple has also clarified that the program covers affected iPhone 11 devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the unit.
In the past, Apple has had similar repair programs for the iPhone and other products as well. A display module issue had cropped in the iPhone X in 2018 whereas there were no power issues with iPhone 6 and 6S in 2019 and Apple had replaced those models for free. More recently, Apple initiated a free replacement program for some AirPods Pro that were reportedly facing sound issues
